New Prosperity Foundation Supports Congressman John Shimkus with Digital Advertising Campaign
NPF signals its commitment to independently support candidates in the 2016 elections
November 16, 2015 –The New Prosperity Foundation has launched a digital ad campaign independently supporting Congress John Shimkus in his bid for re-election, marking the organization’s first involvement in the upcoming 2016 elections.
The digital ads tout Congressman Shimkus’ veteran leadership, family and conservative values and pro-job growth record in Congress.
“Congressman Shimkus has served his country both in the military and Congress where he has a strong record of leadership when it comes to fiscal policies that promote job creation and growth,” said Ron Gidwitz, chairman of the New Prosperity Foundation. “He continues to fight for economic opportunities for everyone in Illinois’ 15th Congressional District, and that’s exactly the kind of leadership we need in Congress. We look forward to independently supporting the Congressman as well as his continued leadership in Washington and the heartland of Illinois.”
The New Prosperity Foundation, a tax-exempt group organized under section 527 of the Internal Revenue Code, raises money statewide to independently support candidate advocacy.
“We are just getting started,” Gidwitz said. “We plan to be very active in our quest to promote a national economic agenda that makes sense for Illinois. Our independent support of candidates who are committed to growing our economy by creating good paying jobs, cutting unnecessary spending and pushing for common-sense regulatory reform is our sole focus.”
