Manufacturing group said action needed to stem job losses

From the Dispatch-Argus: The drain of manufacturing jobs from Illinois is likely to continue unless state government takes action immediately, Illinois Manufacturers’ Association President/CEO Greg Baise told this paper’s editorial board Tuesday.  Mr. Baise outlined a “Middle Class Manufacturing Agenda” his organization believes could help stop the drain, which he put at 304,900 jobs since 2000. He said the Quad-Cities has lost 20 percent of its manufacturing jobs in the same period.
